A breast cancer diagnosis comes with uncertainty and stress. To make the path forward clearer, Eisenhower Health created the Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic launched in October 2024 at the Lucy Curci Cancer Center.
How It Works
Instead of attending separate appointments with different specialists, this groundbreaking approach allows patients to meet a full team of specialists in one day. This includes a breast surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, and social worker. Together, they review test results and create a unified treatment plan.
Benefits to Patients
- Faster Planning: Coordinated input eliminates delays between diagnosis and starting treatment.
- Clear Communication: Consistent information from the entire team reduces confusion.
- Comprehensive Support: A social worker addresses emotional, logistical, and financial concerns.
- Personalized Plans: The team considers tumor biology, patient health, and personal preferences when designing care.
Clinic Schedule
The Multidisciplinary Clinic is held on the third Wednesday of each month. By concentrating appointments, patients save time, reduce travel, and leave with a concrete plan for next steps.
Why It Matters
When time and clarity matter most, this clinic ensures patients don’t navigate care alone. By uniting multiple specialists in one visit, Eisenhower Health helps patients move quickly from diagnosis to treatment with confidence and support. Visit EisenhowerHealth.org to learn more.
