Eisenhower Health is home to a skin cancer clinic headed by Board Certified Dermatologist Keyan Matinpour, MD. According to Dr. Matinpour, “Mohs surgery offers the highest cure rate, lowest recurrence rate and best cosmetic results of any skin cancer treatment we have today.” The Mohs procedure, unlike traditional excisional surgery, is much more precise—only taking as much tissue as is necessary—and uses local anesthesia. Examination of the tissue is also done immediately, making it one of the most efficient and effective treatment options.
