Pain Management Innovation – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

An astounding 100 million people in the U.S. deal with chronic pain. There’s no way to account for the suffering and loss of quality of life,” observes Hazmer Cassim, DO, a Board Certified physiatrist (PM&R) with Eisenhower Desert Orthopedic Center – Pain Management Clinic who adds that pain is the number one reason for emergency room visits.

It’s not just the magnitude of people who deal with chronic pain on a daily basis and the toll it takes on them and their loved ones, it’s also the amount of money attributed to pain treatment and its consequences – a staggering $550 billion annually.

If you’re one of the 100 million people trying to get a handle on chronic pain, you probably know that it can be daunting trying to identify and understand all of the pain management options available today and what’s to come.

  • New treatment options
